As an Azure Cloud Solution Architect, your primary responsibility is to lead a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to advance Azure usage and achieve/exceed quarterly Azure consumption targets in your territory. The CSA is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging their technical capabilities in order to close business.
An Azure CSA must have the ability to effectively present to a wide range of audiences from IT Pro to CxO to business decision makers. They must also have a good understanding of issues surrounding Cloud Governance, deployment, management, security and integration of technologies and solutions. #
They are also responsible for driving technical customer engagements including architectural design sessions, proof of concepts, and specific project implementations.
In this role, you would be responsible for:
Driving the deployment of the customers' workloads into Azure and increase their consumption of the platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers' cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
Establishing deep relationships with key decision makers who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company.
Accelerating consumption by providing deep technical expertise and support in one out of the following four areas of specialization: Datacenter Transformation, Custom Applications, Media Services, Security, Compliance and Privacy.
5+ years of experience and success in consultative/complex technical deployment projects including experience with architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
Prior work experience with competitive cloud technologies strongly desired.
Strong desire for technical experience with Identity Management, IP Networking, and Open Source technologies
Deep technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Software design or development, Application Design, Identity Management, Systems Operations / Management, Database architecture, Virtualisation, IP Networking, Storage, IT Security, Linux.
Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive
