Job Description

The role of the Cloud Security Architect is delivery of a number of Digital and Cloud related global Security Architecture projects. The Cloud Security Architect will lead the design and development of architectures (including related architectural patterns), which are aligned with company standards as well as IT and business strategy.

The Cloud Security Architect may work across either the Enterprise, Technical, Data or Solutions Architecture disciplines. Focus is on Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS and Azure), as well as API, micro services.


Lead the direction of information security through the development of a cloud-based security strategy that addresses the threats to the environment and data Define information security controls and patterns that support risk assessments and support the development of secure cloud-based architectures.

Collaborate with technology architecture teams by performing security analysis of proposed architectures, providing risk assessment feedback, including security requirements.

Collaborate with engineering teams to drive the product road maps for security tools, by providing security requirements that help to map security controls and patterns to product features.

Serve as the Security Lead in the design, implementation and integration phases of cloud-based solutions to meet client and firm security requirements, address enterprise risks and exposures in cloud-based solutions.

Review, make recommendations against the overall security strategy in alignment with cloud strategy. This will be against the operating systems, applications, databases and network stacks.

In depth understanding of how to define and enforce policies for multi-tenant environments, firewall VM rules, file integrity monitoring, hypervisor access control, isolation, secure state management for VMs, encryption services and key management integration, and security logging and monitoring.


Minimum of five years leading IT security architecture efforts and delivery of cloud-based solutions Strong understanding of public cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) delivery models across multiple different cloud vendors.
