Job Description

Title: Front End Developer
Reports to: Head of Technology

Synopsis: OO JavaScript and ReactJS work, building modern browser based web applications.

The Role

We are looking for someone to join our growing tech team as a front end application developer, reporting to the Head of Technology. The tech team exists to solve business and operational challenges, and we need someone with the creative technical skills to help us achieve that.

The role involves a large amount of Javascript application development, building tools that help us with data analysis, ad-tech, and general productivity. The required skill set is both React/Redux JS and plain Object Oriented JavaScript code. We primarily connect to RESTful services hosted on Google Cloud Platform and Rackspace Cloud services, so will expect some basic knowledge of PHP and/or Python, and SQL.

Required Skills

  • "Vanilla" JavaScript development
  • React/Redux JS
  • Basic PHP or Python
  • SQL

Highly Advantageous

  • ES6
  • Google Cloud Platform experience
  • Usability/UX design experience (including cross browser development and responsive design)
  • Digital advertising agency experience

Knowledge of any of the following will earn you extra credit (but are strictly 'nice to haves'. You'll get ample opportunity to learn):

  • Agile development processes
