Job Description

Senior Specialist: Scrum Master

A Scrum Master Role within an agile environment applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

Working in a highly demanding, fast paced and customer orientated environment, using an agile approach and a full Software Development lifecycle to produce high quality design.

Main Accountabilities:

Facilitate the daily activities of the scrum team and where necessary provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful delivery of scrum outcomes.

Work closely with Project Managers to ensure Scrum team deliverables are in line with overall project objectives.

Monitor the progress of deliverables within sprints through the use of standard agile tools (velocity, burn down etc.). Ensure any risks or issues concerning successful completion of a sprint are raised and escalated pro-actively.

Have an informed and clear understanding of WBC's strategic direction and business need, to ensure development outcomes align to the corporate objectives

Lead all 'start of sprint' activities including organisation and facilitation of sprint planning.

Lead all 'end of sprint' activities including organisation and facilitation of showcases and retrospectives and ensure clear and concise position at end of sprint is communicated to relevant stakeholders in an end of sprint report.

Work collaboratively with the Product Owner, Solutions Architect and the development team.

Ability to guide the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.

Able to implement changes and steps to increase the development team's productivity.

Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

Help the product owner keep the product backlogs in good shape to ensure they are ready for the next sprint.

Work closely with other technical teams.
