Senior Technical Project Manager / Programme Manager - Microsoft Dynamics & Azure - Essex

My client in the public sector (Outside IR35) based in Essex are going through a large Digital Transformation; one of the first of its kind to be rolled out in this sector. The Digital Transformation programme will refresh its ageing IT systems & supporting infrastructure. They are implementing the latest Microsoft technologies to users including Windows 10, Skype for Business, Dynamics 365 and Office 365.

They are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager / Programme Manger on a 6-12 month contract from their office in Essex.

The role:

  • Help deliver our ambitious digital transformation programme, implementing MS Dynamics 365, Azure and Office 365 Paas and IaaS
  • Help deliver the agreed business outcomes to time and budget
  • Maintain the critical path of each project and the programme as a whole
  • Assist the technical architects deliver Azure IaaS & PaaS environment
  • Train the in-house team
  • Develop effective reporting and communication to ensure senior stakeholders are kept up-to-date on project successes as well as mitigate major risks.

Experience:

  • Demonstrable evidence of technical prowess in delivering Azure IaaS & PaaS solutions in last 12 months
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing MS Dynamics 365 programmes
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methods and standards.
  • Familiarity with the Local Government IT Profession and cross government IT policies.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to the Public-Sector IT - e.g. Data Protection Act, Information Assurance policy, GDPR awareness
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies
  • DevOps experience (PowerShell scripting, Chef
