SQL Developer / Business Intelligence Developer / BI Developer / SQL Server / SSRS / SSIS / ETL / Bath / Permanent

I am working with a leading software house who provide solutions to the pension and investment sector. Due to expansion they are looking to hire a SQL Developer on a permanent basis.

£40 - £45 (DOE)

SQL Developer Specification:

  • Commercial experience of SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL querying, Database Design & normalisation.
  • Knowledge and experience with SSRS.
  • Knowledge and experience with SSIS.
  • Understanding of ETL processes, Data Warehousing and Modelling and performance tuning.
  • Being able to problem solve as you work.
  • Being able to show strong communications skills.
  • Develop internal and external Management Information (MI) reports for business users.
  • T-SQL development - Stored procedures, views, functions.
  • Investigate and resolve issues and manage them through the IT Support Desk.
  • Adherence to the Change Management processes and principles.
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot the data warehouse and ETL.
  • Make sure that the integrity of data in the production systems match what is presented on the MI system.
  • Continually challenge existing practices and processes and suggest improvements.
  • Performance tuning of long running SQL queries.
  • Data warehouse design and data modelling using Kimball methodology.
